Hexosphere (DEMO Available)

I made this game with some inspiration from tetris and even more from playing slay the spire. I wanted to make a tetris game that was a roguelite, but found the square blocks to be limiting. I also love the crank on the playdate, which gave me the idea to make the blocks orbit around a planet and you control the blocks using the crank. This lead to a more complex version of tetris that is challenging and fun. The roguelite elements I added include a level up system that allows you to pick a perk that will help you survive longer. The surge mechanic makes it so the core of the planet will create an unfinished row on a ever diminishing timer.

The game includes

• Achievements that unlock more perks
• Abilities can be used in perk mode to make everyone run feel unigue
•  4 Modes
  • Classic: No perks just your skills against the surge
  • Cozy: No perks no surge
  • Perks: Level up and pick from a variety of skills and affects that will help you live longer
  • Local 2 player mode 
    • Take turns with a friend using the same device
